On the 24th of March the ICA invites you to a special screening of Commissioned: The Art Of The Polish Film Poster. Providing a look at the origins of the movement in Poland, the documentary gives some context to the cultural relevance of this type of design.
After the film Andrzej Klimowski, one of the most prominent figures of the poster movement, will be in attendance for a Q&A with Adrian Shaughnessy.
Adrian Shaughnessy is graphic designer, writer, journalist and visual culture enthusiast. He’s one of the founding partners and editorial director of Unit Editions, a publishing house producing some of the highest quality books on design, as well as a senior tutor on Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art in London. His latest book Why We Design, a collaboration with Aaron Betsky and Gert Staal, is coming out in May of this year.
Happy to announce that the workshop will take place at 6pm on March 28.
